Add a domain

Host mail for one of your domains on MXTerm.

MXTerm hosts mail for many domains from a single account. This page covers adding one.

Add the domain

  1. In the dashboard, open Domains → Add domain.
  2. Enter the domain name (for example example.com).
  3. MXTerm shows the DNS records you need to publish.

Point mail at MXTerm

To receive mail, your domain’s MX records must point at MXTerm’s mail servers. Until they do, mail will keep going to your old provider.

Warning

Changing MX records reroutes all incoming mail for the domain. Create your mailboxes first, then switch the records, to avoid bounced messages.

Once the domain resolves, set up DNS authentication records so your mail is trusted.
